Sports & Entertainment Holladay Party

Mia Hall hosted her final Sports and Entertainment Social of the year with a "Holladay Party" at Amarachi Lounge in Brooklyn. SE Social offers an opportunity to learn from sports industry professionals, network and have a good time.

Mia interviewed special guest JR Jackson of JR Sport Brief and streamed live via Periscope. JR is a well-known sports blogger with over 77 million online views. Mia and JR talked favorite teams, facing challenges and staying relevant.

Listening to Mia you can tell she is passionate about sports, and not just the teams and players, but the entire industry and everyone involved behind the scenes. She made a major point that there are 15 people on the court but 250 that work for the team. There is lots of opportunity for women and people of color to contribute to the sports industry and Mia’s Full Court Press dives right into it. Mia was full of energy and the interview flowed seamlessly.

The event also held a charity raffle with awesome prizes- a copy of Be You, Live Civil by Karen Civil and tickets to an upcoming Brooklyn Nets game. All event proceeds went towards BASICS International in Ghana. Every attendee received a #LiveCivil Affirmation card. The co-host of the night was Jazmine August. The "Holladay Party" was full of good people, music and vibes. Definitely be on the lookout for more SE Socials in the New Year and follow Mia’s Full Court Press.
